Since reuniting a little over a year ago, Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have — aside from the occasional Instagram post — kept their relationship mostly private.

Well, in a recent interview with Howard Stern on his radio show, Miley opened up about her relationship with her rumored fiance and told the wild story that inspired her hit song "Malibu."

She told Howard: "The house that I recorded my first Miley Cyrus record in is the house that I live in now, but by chance."
"So, you know, me and Liam, who's my boyfriend, we've been together for a while, but we broke up for a second. And when we broke up, he wanted to get away from me and he moved to Malibu and bought this house."
"He didn't know that it was the house that I recorded my first album in. And the person hid all of the plaques in the garage, so he would still buy the house."
"So then he went to move in and was like, 'Fuck! I cannot get away. This bitch is all over my fucking house.' And all my plaques are everywhere."
"And so, now that we're back together, my song 'Malibu' is about the house that I live in in Malibu, which is where I recorded my first album."
